Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos!
My name is Olivia Bleeker and I just finished my freshman year at the University of Missouri where my major is Textile and Apparel Management with minors in both Spanish and Business. I honestly do not even have the right words to sum up just how excited I am to start my fourth semester of writing for CollegeFashionista. CollegeFashionista has given me such an incredible community not only at my university but also on social media with other Style Gurus from all around the globe. Even before I started college, I had already connected with other Style Gurus and had so much love for my CollegeFashionista family. This is such an amazing opportunity that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
This summer looks a bit different than last, since I spent last summer living in Guatemala and writing the Fashion From Abroad column. This summer, I’ll be spending my time in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri where I will be taking classes and working.
However, I’ll also have plenty of free time this summer, something I am so grateful for. In my spare time, you can most likely find me blogging for my life and style blog, A Drop in the Ocean, browsing the racks at Free People or sipping on a mocha frappucchino from Starbucks. My style can be described as trendy with hints of bohemian and global flairs to them, heavily influenced by both the bright colors and intricate patterns that surrounded me while I lived in Guatemala.
Since this is the first semester that I’ll be in St. Louis as a Style Guru, I am beyond thrilled to get to follow the trends and street styles that I see Fashionistas and Fashionistos wearing around my city. St. Louis is blessed to have such a vibrant city culture and I can’t wait to let that ring through in my posts this summer. Whether the Fashionista I find is rocking a fun kimono, a pair of killer heels or a statement necklace, I want to make sure that you see how proud I am to see my city represented.
