Welcome to another fashionable semester with me, Odessa Magafas, as your personal Style Guru! I am so excited to help you figure out any fashion dilemmas and provide a look at the most stylish trends from abroad. Usually Loyola University Chicago is where I reside, but this time I will be writing from the John Felice campus in Rome! Get ready for some fabulous looks that can be seen in the ancient Eternal City.
Let’s start with a few facts about myself. I am a sophomore student studying Advertising and Public Relations My hometown is St. Louis, Missouri (go Cards!). I love travelling, taking photos, watching classics and reading best sellers. Fashion has always been an interest of mine and I am excited to have the opportunity to continue my trend spotting in a foreign country. Here is to another semester of featuring fashion-forward looks for every occasion!
Although the winter season brings cold weather, it creates the perfect time to sport chic prints and luxurious layers. My favorite go-to outfits for the winter include blanket scarfs and rich-colored shawls. For this particular look, I paired a geometric shawl with a simple fitted dress for an ensemble that can be worn to any holiday party with friends and family.
I finished the look with patterned tights and black ankle booties. Adding a bright accessory such as a layered stone necklace provides a little pop of color and an extra dimension to your polished outfit. Including a leather cross-body bag is the perfect, yet subtle decoration for your festive look.
