STYLE GURU BIO: Nicolette Pezza

Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Nicolette Pezza and I am a sophomore at Monmouth University majoring in Communication with concentrations in Journalism and Public Relations and a minor in Information Technology. I’m super excited to intern with CollegeFashionista and share my love for writing and fashion with you guys.

I’ve always had a love for fashion, whether that was making clothes for my Barbie dolls or later on making them on a mannequin tailored to my size. I love how fashion is an art that goes wherever you go and that people can see and admire at a first glance. I think it’s one of the most underrated ways to express who you are especially since society tends to judge what’s on the outside. Combining my love for writing and fashion could not be a more amazing opportunity to be a part of and I’m so grateful to be a Style Guru this fall!

My personal fashion style is based around simplicity and comfort. I love wearing items of clothing that are lightweight and don’t get in the way when you’re on the go. Instead, I like to wear bold choices or dress up simple outfits with statement shoes and jewelry or a popping lipstick! A little goes a long way in my book.

My go-to summer outfit consists of a fun summer dress just like the one I’m wearing in this post. I love dresses in the summer because they’re perfect for the hot weather and are easy to thr ow on when you’re running out the door! They can be made casual or dressed-up for a night out. I also love contrasting dull and bright colors like the bright yellow of my dress and the deep red of my cross-body bag. I also love throwing on a classic black pair of flip flops because they’re comfortable and quick to slip on.

Overall, my style is very simple and all about the details. In the winter you’ll most likely see me walking around campus in a plain T-shirt, leggings, moccasins and a statement scarf.

I hope you guys like my articles and the trends I find around campus this fall. I can’t wait to share them with you! It’s going to be a #RAD semester!
