As cliché as it may sound, I have always had a “passion for fashion.” I love the creativity required in creating a look or style. I’m intrigued in finding new ways to style myself to show everyone around me a glimpse of who I am without having to utter a single word, while styling unorthodox pieces together. I truly believe that a person can say so much with how they decide to present themselves to others and that is why style is incomparable to me.
It is very difficult for me to try to categorize my style under only one category. Even so, the people that surround me everyday see a piece of clothing or accessory and can identify it as something that I would definitely wear or not. The one thing that I love about fashion is that I don’t have to follow only one type of aesthetic design and I can follow many, while still incorporating all those different elements that can be identified as my personalized style. I would say that one thing that I always try to incorporate into my outfits is an item or items that make my look more dressed up. It may be to add a pair of heels or gold accessories that help take my outfits to the next level and get a more elegant look that I strive to achieve.
Due to the great impact and presence fashion has had throughout my entire life I decided to pursue it as an education and career. Texas State University was the perfect fit for me because of the exemplary fashion program offered within the state of Texas. After a year and a half in the program and currently a senior entering my final semester, I could not be any more thrilled about my decision to reside here. I am so happy and excited to be here as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I am also excited to showcase how fashionable my fellow Texas State Bobcats are.
I hope we can all find inspiration through fashion and everything surrounding us everyday.
