STYLE GURU BIO: Natalie Bader

Hello, everyone! My name is Natalie Bader and I’m back for another semester of Style Guru awesomeness. I am a senior at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, majoring in apparel and textile marketing with a minor in business administration. I will be graduating in May, which is both exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. As of the moment, I am not sure exactly where my degree will lead me, but I am most interested in merchandise planning and marketing.

In addition to taking classes full-time, I also work at the K-State Super Store, where every die-hard Wildcat fan can purchase their much-needed fan gear. I had the awesome opportunity to do a management internship with them this past football season and was recently promoted to a supervisor position. I truly love my job and the people I work with because everyone is so fun and interesting and our customers are very chill.

When I have any free time I like to spend it reading, binge-watching The Office on Netflix or doing some sort of craft that I found on Pinterest. My love for fashion extends from a love of self-expression and creativity and has been with me since I was a young girl. I love how something as simple as the clothes that we wear can transform or reflect our moods. For many of us, our clothing choices on any given day can also give the people around us clues to who we are and what we find important.

My own personal style can be hard to pin down depending on my mood, but 80 percent of the time I like to stick to the basics and anything black. Every once in a blue moon, I will latch on to a trend if I really like it. On this particular day, I opted for a fairly simple ensemble. This lace-up blouse is a wonderful color and I can wear with just about anything. I chose to pair it with my skinny Levi Brand Jeans and my recently purchased brown riding boots by Carlos Santana.

I hope that you are as excited as I am to see all the amazing styles worn by the students at Kansas State University!
