STYLE GURU BIO: Natália Pepice

Hey there! I’m Natália, a graduate student from São Paulo, Brazil. I’m currently earning my Master’s Degree in Business and Marketing at ESPM and working as a Senior Fashion Marketing Analyst in a brand called DZARM. I am really excited about writing for CollegeFashionista.

What can I say about being an intern, again? Well, I’ve been a a fashion addict (specifically a magazine lover) since I was a kid and I also love new challenges; so when I was invited to be part of the CollegeFashionista team for three months, I was really amazed!

Without knowing, I started my “work” in fashion when I was 10 as I used to read all of my mum’s magazines. After reading them, I used to cut out the models or texts and paste them in diaries, mixing images from different magazines. I still do this, but now I call it a mood board and used it as part of my job before starting a new campaign.

After finishing high school and before starting college, I took a year off and moved to Sydney alone. I lived with the coolest family and had my first job as a sales assistant in a fashion store. It was amazing to see trends in a totally different place that was so far from home. Australia gave me another sense of style and it made me realize that natural beauty and the casual style can be really interesting.

Back in SP, I started studying PR and Mass Communications. I met some really cool people and had a wonderful time, but wasn’t very happy. So I decided to drop the course and started Fashion Design in Santa Marcelina College. After that, everything has changed for better. I did some internships during college and had the chance to work in some of the best Brazilians brands like Cia Maritima Beachwear and Le Lis Blanc.

I’m always open for new trends, but I do have my favorites in fashion like all-black looks for parties and stripes for any moments I don’t know what to wear! I do like prints (especially leopard print) but I don’t wear them often.

As a Style Guru, I will be able to combine my love for both writing and fashion into one! I’m going to show you the unique urban São Paulo style as well as the trends that are in right now! You can also follow me on my social media for behind the scenes posts!
