STYLE GURU BIO: Molly Duncan

Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Molly Duncan. I am a junior majoring in marketing at Georgia College and State University. This is my third semester working as a Style Guru. Words cannot begin to describe how excited I am to continue my internship with CollegeFashionista!

Ever since I was young, I have always had a love for fashion. At the age of 13, this love quickly grew into a passion when I stumbled upon the countless style publications and blogs available on the Internet. This discovery aided me in shaping my own personal style. Something I have always done is making sure I stay true to myself by creating my own look. I always strive to be the girl who is willing to take chances with my fashion choices. I believe that if you do not take chances and create your own look, then you are not staying true to yourself. If you are not staying true to yourself, than how are you suppose to live life the way it was meant to be lived?

I would describe my style as trendy and chic with modern elegance. I see clothing as a way of defining who I am, so I try to find pieces that I know will add character to my appearance. However, it all depends on how I feel when I buy a piece of clothing—some days I’m feeling preppy, while others I’m feeling bohemian. If I have an 8:00 a.m. class that I am hurrying to, you’ll typically see me in leggings and whatever comfy oversized T-shirt I can find. However, other days I’ll have a more polished look and maybe even add some extra makeup if the mood strikes. One of the things I enjoy the most is finding an item that is easy to wear and will always step up an outfit, such as a pair of cute flats.

One accessory that I can always be found wearing is my David Yurman bracelet. One of the best gifts I have received was an Oval Link David Yurman bracelet. Along with my bracelet, I always wear at least one more accessory. I typically turn to pearl earrings or a necklace to complete my look.
