Hey there! My name is Maria and I am in my senior year in the Kindergarten/Elementary program at McGill University. This is my first year as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and words cannot express how excited I am to start this journey. If you happen to spot me on campus, I will most likely be sporting a beanie and layering up to keep warm from the cooler temperatures. When I am not studying or doing assignments for school, I am either keeping up with the latest fashion trends, hanging with friends or trying to take it easy.
I am fashion addict and not afraid to say it aloud! The outfit pictured shows more of my edgier side, which I have been showcasing more this year. This outfit is super easy to wear, laid-back and comfortable. My black booties are a staple in my wardrobe because they can be worn with almost everything. They are also extremely comfortable which is a must since I am jumping from class to class, work and meetings. And of course I could not forget my beanie (I may have a tiny hat obsession). I think that when wearing any outfit, you have to feel comfortable and confident. This is crucial because as a university student comfort is always key and you also want to comfortable in your own skin.
I always and still believe that fashion is an outlet where an individual can express themselves and be able to show the world who they are. Therefore, I am excited to see how my fellow “Mcgillians” express themselves. Everyone has their own personal style story and I am on the hunt to discover what inspires their personal style.
