Hi, my name is Madeline Filbert. I’m a sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and am a fashion design major. I’m hoping to have my own line of clothing one day but in the mean time, I plan to continue blogging, traveling a bit, and getting an internship in the near future.
I’m super in love with my dog, Kingsley Shacklebolt (Harry Potter reference). He’s a Sheba Inu mix and is the craziest little creature you will ever meet. I will swear by this till the day I die, he is the love of my life. I am definitely an animal person, and if my plans for the fashion industry fail, my back up plan is to adopt all dogs in need of a home.
I love to read, clearly because my dog is named after a Harry Potter character. And obviously I love to write as well. Those are the two things I feel like I need to do to stay sane. I have a soft side for all the romantic, Nicholas Sparks-type books but I also can’t stay away from a good thriller like Gone Girl or The Girl on the Train.
Sweets are my weakness, and I could eat an entire cake by myself. Then again, I’m slightly obsessed with getting a good workout in with some yoga and a green smoothie. Kayla Itsines is my home girl, and I will forever live by her killer workouts.
I love all black outfits. For this look I styled a black turtle neck, with my favorite black jeans, and some heeled booties to give off a very modern Audrey Hepburn look. Which, may I also add, is someone I admire. I feel like an all black outfit gives off a very chic look, besides “women who wear black live colorful lives,” as they say.
With all things said, I can’t wait to begin my little adventure as a Style Guru along with being a struggling art student who has a problem with shopping and her clothes being covered in dog hair.
