STYLE GURU BIO: Lyndsee Pachura

Ciao Fashionistas/os! My name is Lyndsee Pachura, and I am currently a junior in the fashion program at Kent State University. This past fall semester I lived in Florence, Italy while studying fashion merchandising and fashion media. While living in Florence for four months, I learned so much about Italian fashion and culture. Even just the street fashion in Florence was always so interesting to see. While studying in Italy, I’ve noticed that they tend to always dress up and plan their outfits, even if it is just to go to the market.

One of my favorite go-to outfits in Italy was a basic long sleeve shirt with a leather skort paired with knee-high socks and booties. This basic gray long sleeve shirt was purchased from H&M. It is loose fitting, and it is perfect to tuck in high-waisted bottoms. That is why I decided to tuck my long sleeve shirt in my leather skort that was purchased from Zara. Italy is known for its genuine leather and many Italians wear leather in several of their outfits. I fell in love with leather as much as I fell in love with Italy. In Florence, they even have leather markets where you can purchase many different leather items.

If you ever go to Italy, you need to buy at least one item in leather. To go with this outfit, I decided to wear my booties, knee-high socks and tights. My booties are also leather and can be purchased at Zara. They are great to wear because they have a small heel to dress up the outfit. Wearing high socks and tights with the skort and booties is a great winter look. The socks and tights help keep you warm and contrast well. To add some detail to the outfit, I wore a pearl gold necklace and long gold earrings.

I have learned so much about fashion while studying abroad, and I cannot wait to share all of the information on the upcoming trends for spring 2016. Stay tuned for the latest Europeans trends that everyone will be wearing this next semester.
