Hello! My name is Lindsey Taub and I’m a freshman at Lehigh University. I am so excited to begin my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista! I’ve lived in Los Angeles my whole life so my personal style has been influenced by the laidback beachy culture of the city. You can usually catch me rocking a flannel, whether it be with leggings and combat boots, or shorts and my beloved Birkenstocks.
At Lehigh the majority of the kids grew up in the tri-state area and tend to have a more preppy style than I’m used to so my style tends to stand out. This became clear to me when my friends started referring to me as a hippie because of my style. I’ve embraced this title and continued to dress like the California girl I am! As it starts to get colder at school, I’m excited to see how I can stay true to my style while making sure I also stay warm. I’ve never lived in the snow, so this spring semester is bound to bring on many new experiences for me.
This is a very common outfit that I’d wear out. I’ve recently been really into combining a girly dress with a more masculine jacket. I love this jacket because it is so versatile. It can be used to dress down an outfit like I’m doing here, or can be worn with jeans, a cool top and some boots. So many options! I’m also obsessed with these combat boots for the same reason. They also go with everything. The socks are great because they add the coverage of tights without actually having to wear tights.
