STYLE GURU BIO: Lexi Friedman

Hiya, friends! My name is Lexi and I’m about to be a junior at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. I’m a photography major, at a small school with only about seven majors (if that), but I thrive on fashion and more specifically, meshing together the world of fashion and photography as one. As my first semester as a style Guru, I couldn’t be more excited to join such a large group of creative souls!

Fashion has always been deep in my blood, from the age of infancy, I was dressed in denim, rompers and hats like you wouldn’t believe. I was stylin’, in my preemie baby doll clothes. The root of my inspiration would have to be my mother, our afternoon shopping trips to TJ Maxx and Marshalls has always been a special time for me. It taught me how to be frugal, while also finding the cutest, new trendy clothes. As of lately, thrift shops have also been my place of refuge, being able to find things that cannot be purchased elsewhere makes me so giddy.

My style is known to be very eclectic, ranging from dark and mysterious some days, to colorful and quirky the next. I love switching up my look to embody a certain aesthetic, although I’ve been known to rock the monochromatic look of black & white an awful lot. (What can I say, it’s a classic.)

Besides my love of fashion, I dabble in photography and the arts quite a bit, I love animals and I am an avid tea drinker, but also a foodie who loves her veggies. A couple months ago I got the chance to travel, in exchange of an eight hour plane ride, I landed in Portugal. The fashion and food I got to sample from there was an eye opener, something that really made me discover new pairings and ideas.

After being able to experience such a beautiful place, I’m excited to put some new outfits out and share with other Fashionista’s out here! Don’t be scared to follow me, fashion should bring us all together and I’m happy to make new friends!
