Hello Fashionista/o! This is my first semester working with the CollegeFashionista team and I couldn’t be more excited! I am a third year Marketing major at the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt I’m actively involved in the American Marketing Association, Fashion Business Association and Women in Business. In my free time I enjoy yoga, reading, writing, browsing blogs, thrift shopping and, of course, staying up to date on the latest fashion news.
As a little girl, I was fascinated with the fashion world. I used to make scrapbooks that contained hundreds of different designs, ideas and themes. I spent hours drawing, coloring, cutting and pasting. I wanted to grow up to become a fashion designer. I’ve taken a different route since those years, but I’ll always have a passion for fashion. I’ve chosen to pursue a different career, but fashion is something that is present in my everyday life. It’s become quite a hobby! I’ve always been very creative and I enjoy implementing that creativity day by day through my own personal style. I’m inspired by creativity and self-expression, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to dive into the Pittsburgh fashion scene.
I love living in the city because every day is different. I’m constantly meeting new people and discovering new places. Pittsburgh is a very unique city with a very unique style. It may seem a bit low key, but actually it’s one of the up-and-coming cities for young professionals! It’s a hub of art, culture, music and theater.
