Hello Fashionista/o! This is my first semester working with the CollegeFashionista team and I couldn’t be more excited! I am a third year Marketing major at the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt I’m actively involved in the American Marketing Association, Fashion Business Association and Women in Business. In my free time I enjoy yoga, reading, writing, browsing blogs, thrift shopping and, of course, staying up to date on the latest fashion news.
As a little girl, I was fascinated with the fashion world. I used to make scrapbooks that contained hundreds of different designs, ideas and themes. I spent hours drawing, coloring, cutting and pasting. I wanted to grow up to become a fashion designer. I’ve taken a different route since those years, but I’ll always have a passion for fashion. I’ve chosen to pursue a different career, but fashion is something that is present in my everyday life. It’s become quite a hobby! I’ve always been very creative and I enjoy implementing that creativity day by day through my own personal style. I’m inspired by creativity and self-expression, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to dive into the Pittsburgh fashion scene.
I love living in the city because every day is different. I’m constantly meeting new people and discovering new places. Pittsburgh is a very unique city with a very unique style. It may seem a bit low key, but actually it’s one of the up-and-coming cities for young professionals! It’s a hub of art, culture, music and theater. I’m so excited to share a little taste of my city with you. Stay tuned for weekly posts every Wednesday. I’m on the lookout for some of the best fashion of 2015. Pitt, let’s see what you’ve got!
