Hello, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Lauren Klas and I am a freshman at Gordon College in the beautiful state of Massachusetts. I am super excited to be a Style Guru this coming semester and I cannot wait to meet people who love fashion as much as I do!
As an art major, thinking out-of-the-box comes naturally to me, which helps me create my unique sense of style. Fashion has always appealed to me, so I am super excited to be applying to Fashion Colleges in NYC! I love the city life and I am excited to one day be a fashion designer for my own brand. I want to create and design clothing that people will feel confident and sexy wearing, not just clothing that looks good.
Fashion is an art which shows me that it is totally rad to mix prints, clash colors and yes, even wear denim on denim. I live by going against the odds, being bold and taking risks. Since it is winter, I live by black and fur, but I still like to add in a pop of color once in a while. I am also a big thrifter and finding a gem always makes my day. I love finding new and unique thrift stores because each one has its own cool, vintage vibe. I usually mix a thrifted item with a new piece, like mixing old with the new. From mixing a thrifted beaded shirt with a blazer to a tulle skirt and a band T-shirt, I love that I can express my personality through what I wear.
I am so thrilled to be a part of this team and I can’t wait to show everybody what I and Gordon College has to offer!
