My darling Fashionistas/os, I am so thrilled to be writing you from sunny Los Angeles, California! Our weather may be predictable, but I assure you our style is anything but. Though I am a true East Coaster at heart, I have fully embraced this bright and laid back atmosphere in my mentality and, even occasionally, in my wardrobe.
I am a freshman in UCLA’s Theatre, Film and Television acting concentration, and when I’m not onstage or at rehearsals, you’ll find me wedged in the pages of a history book. As an aspiring actress, I am a sucker for all things Old Hollywood, and my walls are littered with pictures of Audrey Hepburn and Lucille Ball. Quite succinctly, my style is simple, classic and playful. I adore all things kate spade, and when I’m not “living colorfully,” I’m following the grand footsteps of Coco Chanel in all-black. You will rarely find me not in red lipstick or something high-waisted.
I believe that our clothes, just like us, have a story, and as you can tell by my outfit, I love a vintage silhouette. A tie front button-down is such a closet staple and pairs beautifully with a bright, floral flare skirt. Don’t forget a pop of contrasting color in your ankle strap heels. I think it’s important to remember our fashion roots by blending eras, like the ’50s, with modern aesthetics.
I look forward to reporting my favorite fashion stories from the golden coast all the way to Paris, Barcelona and Venice for my summer abroad! In the meantime, however, you can take a look at my personal style blog to get to know me and my many strands of pearls a little better. Au revoir, adiós and ciao, my lovelies. Until next time.
