Hello darlings. My name is Laura Jean Moulton, and I am going to be a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I am majoring in Apparel Design and Development and minoring in photography. When I found out about CollegeFashionista’s Style Gurus, I was so excited because I felt it was the perfect way to combine two things I love—photography and fashion. I was even more excited to find out I had been chosen as a writer, and I am so happy to be starting my journey as a Style Guru.
My life during the school year is extremely busy and always interesting. My days are filled with sewing, reading and writing, snapping pictures, exploring the outdoors, listening to music, daydreaming about traveling to new places and homework on top of homework. The summer will not slow for me either. Besides being lucky enough to join the CollegeFashionista community, I landed my first internship as a Product Development and Production intern at Creative Apparel Concepts. But, busy is just the way I like it.
I guess there really isn’t a specific word to describe my style. My outfit is usually edgy combined with a some boho vibes. A lot of the time, you will find me in all-black, and I usually stick to neutral colors. If there is one thing I am not, it is a girly girl. You will probably never find me in pink (except baby pink), and I dislike heels. I have always loved trying new trends and am not one to stick to what everyone else is wearing. Mostly, I love to be carefree and comfortable, but I believe it is always important to feel confident in your style choices. If you like it, wear it. Don’t be like the rest of them, darling.
