Born in 1995, I’m a 19-year-old Fashion Merchandising student named Kelsie. Fashion has been a love of mine since the princess dress up days. I was that grade schooler who picked out her outfits for the whole week every Sunday night. I must admit that many of these were inspired by my heroes of the time, Hilary Duff (aka Lizzie McGuire) and Britney Spears (pre- shaved head). While Fashion was a huge hobby of mine, my life growing up was all dance and performance which led me to my original major of Musical Theatre. While I love performing very much, I decided I didn’t want to be 35 and auditioning for my next show. This realization gave me the confidence to start pursuing a career in the exciting and beautiful world of fashion.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel my whole life which has given me many amazing experiences to learn from. I also am the proud owner of a seven pound bundle of joy…my Yorkie, Bella! Having a puppy in college can be a lot of work, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
My style is very feminine, classic and dressy. My version of dressing down is a pair of skinny jeans and a cardigan. I can usually be spotted in a dress or skirt from one of my favorite stores, Top Shop, Nordstrom or, the now closed, Piperlime. Handbags are my guilty pleasure and my wish list continues to grow everyday. My biggest style advice is to not be afraid to play around with color and to add a funky accessory to change up your look. As far as makeup goes, you can always spot me with a bright lip color and a shimmery eye shadow.
