Hello, my name is Kayla Cooper! I’m 19 years old, and I’m from a town in the middle of nowhere in New York. I currently go to Dutchess Community College, and I’m hoping to transfer as quickly as possible. I am an aspiring fashion designer, and I hope to own a business of my own some day.
I think the quote, “Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life” really sums up how I feel about fashion. Fashion has really helped me express myself, and has helped me find who I am as a person. I enjoy thrift shopping because somehow fashion always seems to repeat itself and recycling clothes is such a great project.
Not only do I love fashion, but I love to paint when I have the time. And no I’m not any good at it, but I try! I love finding new places to go because it gives me a reason to dress up and then take pictures of everything I see. I am obsessed with overalls and hats; I love nature and tacos and whenever I get the chance, I am probably attempting yoga.
I couldn’t be more excited to be a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista because this is my first internship and I think that it’s a great experience to be surrounded by so many people who have a love for fashion like I do. It’s also an awesome opportunity to see what people from all over are wearing. Everyone has a different sense of style which is always great to see.
