Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Julie Kesselhaut and I just finished my sophomore year at the University of Michigan. I am majoring in business with the hopes of one day becoming a buyer for a clothing company. I am so excited to spend the summer spotting out the latest trends and sharing fashion tips with everyone!
Whether its stalking Instagram for outfit inspiration or helping my sorority sisters pick out clothes for a night out, fashion is a constant part of my life. I love taking old pieces I have in my closet and creating an outfit that looks completely new. As a college student, it’s a great way to save some money and an excuse not to throw out that shirt you were obsessed with in the eighth grade!
In my free time I love going to kickboxing classes and binge-watching Netflix. From Gossip Girl to Entourage, I think I’ve seen it all. I am also a huge social media fanatic, like everyone else my age, and have a new obsession with celebrity Snapchat accounts. For instance, I love following Kylie Jenner because she walks her fans through her photo shoots and even gives sneak peaks of her closet (score!).
If I had to describe my style I would say it is cute and girly, with an edgy twist to it. I love all things black and any time I can add a choker or dark lipstick to an outfit, it’s a success. I think the most important thing in fashion is remaining yourself; it’s so easy to become caught up in the trends and want to dress exactly how everyone else is. However, adding your own twist to an outfit makes it unique to you and makes the ensemble more interesting.
I am so excited to spend the summer in New York City and New Jersey. I can’t wait to keep everyone updated each month on the latest fashion trends of the east coast!
