Hey, there fellow Fashionista/os! My name is Johanna Beierle and I am a sophomore at Simpson College, a small college in Iowa. This is my third semester as a Style Guru and I am so excited to be back!
I am a public relations major with a possible minor in studio art. I am also an active member of my college’s PRSSA chapter. Luckily for me, we don’t have any snow on the ground so it’s not as cold as it usually would be here in Iowa.
My personal style is always changing and evolving but currently, I am very into black and statement pieces. Some of my current favorite pieces are velvet booties and leather jackets.This outfit fits my current personal style to a T. I wore a gray band T-shirt and paired it with a green suede moto jacket. This jacket from Who What Wear is one of my favorite new pieces in my closet. It’s different from traditional leather moto jackets because of the suede material. Also, the army green color adds an unexpected pop of color to not only my closet, but to any outfit. I added a pair of simple black skinny jeans and finished it off with some black, lace-up wedged sandals. I finished off the ensemble with some warm orange eyeshadow and a nude lip (one of my favorite makeup looks).
I love showing my always changing personality through my fashion choices. One day I might be feeling flirty so I’ll choose to wear more white and girly clothes and other days I might feel confident so I will wear heels or red clothing. I love how you don’t have to wear just one style. I can’t wait to share my fashion choices and personality with you this semester in my upcoming articles!
