Hi everyone! My name is Jocelyn Hung, and I am a freshman majoring in Communications and Studio Art at Santa Clara University—otherwise known as Claradise. Before college, I used to live in Shanghai, a city on the coast in northern China. I will be returning there this summer for the majority of my vacation. I am also planning on traveling: maybe to Hawaii and maybe to some other places as well! Hopefully I will be able to capture some trendy styles from aboard during my stay. I am incredibly excited to work for CollegeFasionista this summer because I absolutely love photography. I love taking portraits, and I especially love my 50mm lens.
My sense of fashion is influenced by many different things, with comfort as my priority. I love loose tops, flowy shorts, soft cardigans and stretchy leggings. To be honest, my wardrobe is not filled with fancy designer-branded clothing, nor is it dressed with the latest retailer store’s “hot picks of the week.” However, I always look for unique colors, unique patterns or unique accessories that give my daily outfit a shine.
Today I wore a bright red tank top with a pair of skull-patterned shorts and a black cardigan. This pair of skull-patterned shorts is my favorite pair of shorts. It is incredibly comfortable and has not two, but four pockets! I don’t know why, but I like the idea of having four pockets. Besides the fact that it is so comfy, I love that I can match these shorts with almost anything and everything I own.
The sandals I wore are also one of my favorite pairs of shoes that I have. Instead of having buckles, like most other sandals, this pair has elastic bands so that I can just slip them off and pop them off whenever, wherever I want. To complete the outfit, I wore a vintage necklace with lavender-colored gems. This necklace gives the entire outfit a much more mature feel. The cardigan that I had was also shaped like a blazer, again, adding to the matureness of the look. Even though I had my hair down, I think it would be really cute if I had wore my hair up in a loose bun, to give off that professional businesswoman vibe.
I look forward to writing and reading more articles on CollegeFashionista, and hopefully I spot some cool outfits soon.
