Hello my beautiful people! The name is Jenna Oosterlinck and I am a senior at Michigan State University studying Advertising with a minor in Public Relations.
Although I was born and raised in “the mitten,” my soul has always longed to go to places I’ve never been before and discover the hidden treasures of the world. My first adventure on the list is the beautiful country of Italy! Besides indulging in the pasta, wine and gelato, I will be searching high and low for the finest European fashion. I cannot wait to share my experience with all of you and capture street style moments from my abroad country to yours!
This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited and honored! I was first introduced to CollegeFashionista by my fellow students in VIM. VIM is a student-run fashion magazine that I work for at MSU. Being the creative beauty director gives me the opportunity to do all things beauty for our photo shoots! When I create different make-up looks for VIM Magazine, I truly enjoy bringing together the stylist’s vision and creating a cohesive look for all of our readers on campus.
Ever since I was a little girl, growing up with two older sisters, I took advantage of every chance I got to get my hands on their clothes and makeup. I have always been inspired by the latest runway trends in fashion, hair and makeup, which has compelled me to pursue a career in public relations with a focus in fashion and beauty. Becoming a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista is just the platform I need to start my long journey in the fast-paced world of fashion we all adore!
I consider my wardrobe to be like a chameleon. My style changes from day-to-day with my mood. One day, I can feel like being very feminine, wearing a jumpsuit, stilettos and crazy cat-eye sunnies and the next day come walking out of my apartment in ripped boyfriend- jeans, a leather jacket and my hair in a shaggy mess! I love changing up my look and breaking the boundaries. If I can’t find the piece I am looking for, you better believe I’ll find some way to make it! You’ll be sure to find me in Jo-Ann Fabric’s after I have watched several DIY videos on YouTube that is. The beauty of it all is, there are no rules. I’ve never been one to follow in the footsteps of another, so why start now!
