Bonjour mes beautés! My name is Jenna Heavner and this is my first time blogging for CollegeFashionista. I am representing The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Currently, my personal style is a mash-up of bus-cas and nomadic traveler. It’s a dress and stilettos, or my trench and sturdy walking shoes. I have an internal struggle of portraying the smart business woman I aspire to be or to only wear the clothing that would fit in a backpack. It’s a tough decision, you know? Should I dress like a thriving boss lady to attract the young, successful and suit wearing businessmen; or, do I channel my inner adventurer and shoot for the practical wanderer look? It’s difficult for me to dress in the morning.
Here’s the plan when I start my freshman year; global studies major with a concentration in international politics and a minor in business. My region of study will be Asia because I would love to learn Mandarin Chinese! One day I hope to work with the Foreign Service in public diplomacy, found my own start-up and become an expert vagabond. I know, it’s a bit over the top, but I might as well go for it, right?
In the meantime, I am learning French on Rosetta Stone and gallivanting around the world. Well, not all around the world, a few key destinations in the United States and South America. I am positive that I will run into plenty of Fashionistas who would be willing to share their style with me. I love the public and make it a point to connect with people everywhere I go; this internship just made it that much easier.
Follow me on my journey of fashion, friends and fun!
