Hi loves, I’m Jenna! I’m a junior design and merchandising major at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. This is my first term as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the #GuruGang. I first fell in love with the editorial side of the fashion industry and that is where I hope to grow my career after I graduate. I live life with a fashion magazine in one hand and the APA Style Guide, in the other while constantly searching for the next great liquid lipstick. Catch me binge-watching Project Runway, drafting articles or perusing the city streets for inspiration.
My time in a design-centered major has forced me to expand my creative horizons and truly delve into what inspires me most. I enjoy having a grab-and-go ‘uniform’ so to speak; an outfit that I can easily assemble and then be on my way. However, I also like to create drama—in my style, that is! With this outfit, I chose create drama with a soft lace bralette layered under a slouchy tee and a fierce merlot lip.
Right now, I’m really loving the thigh-high boots trend. These ones were picked out for me by a TrunkClub stylist (a personal-styling service I tried out when I was in a bit of a fashion rut) and I can’t seem to stop wearing them. I love how they elevate any outfit and add just a bit more attitude and personality to whatever I choose to pair them with. To complement the leather motif, I also picked out this Michael Kors wristlet. I don’t always feel like carrying a purse, so I appreciate its function and its sophisticated neutrality. I can add it to any outfit!
