Hi everyone! My name is Jamie McNulty and I am a first time Style Guru here at CollegeFashionista. However, I have been following and lusting over the CF Instagram for years! I am a sophomore at Temple University studying advertising with hopes to break into the world of fashion marketing (Free People is the dream job!).
I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember, my mom loves to whip out a picture of three year old me dressed in nothing but a diaper, yellow oversized sunglasses and chunky pink pearls when I say this. It’s sort of gaudy chic but not really. I love anything that has to do with fashion as an avid blog reader, my favorite is Emily Schuman’s Cupcakes and Cashmere, with Arielle Nachmani’s Something Navy coming in a close second. I could spend hours upon hours reading Vogue and Glamour, they’re like candy to me!
My style has evolved and changed drastically as I’ve grown up, my short lived Avril Lavigne-inspired look is not one I like to look back on too fondly, but I suppose it was all part of the process! My current style is inspired by fashion muses Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, the ‘model off duty’ look is so classic and effortlessly chic. My go-to look is a big sweater or flowy shirt, skinny jeans and a nice pair of booties or espadrilles. I absolutely love texture! Cable knit fisherman sweaters, destroyed jeans, dainty jewelry and fringe purses are my version of art.
Temple is bursting at the seams with stylish students, all dressed completely differently from the next. Our urban Philly location provides inspiration (and shopping!) at every turn. I am crazy excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team and I can’t wait to show you what Temple is wearing this spring!
