Hello, CollegeFashionista world!

My name is Indy Lau. I was born and raised in New Jersey, but I’m currently living in the Big Apple. I just finished my first year at the Fashion Institute of Technology majoring in Fashion Merchandising Management. I plan to combine my love for fashion and business through the many facets of the fashion industry. However, I’d also love to explore the side of fashion journalism by starting a blog. And being that I go to a fashion school, I’m excited to feature the unique styles my school and I have to offer.

From raiding my mom’s closet to eventually developing my own style by overflowing my closet with new clothes everyday, I’ve always had a thing for fashion. Black and white clothing has been my best friend for the longest time, but I’m trying to add more color to my palette as the spring and summer seasons are approaching. Through social media resources like CollegeFashionista and Instagram, I find myself absorbing different aspects and styles of fellow fashion gurus.

Besides fashion, I enjoy exploring the streets of New York City with my friends, hoping to find new and delicious places to eat. But of course food is not the only thing New York has to offer. I enjoy going to museums and galleries around Chelsea. I enjoy traveling and going on adventures to find inspiration. I believe that fashion is different in many cultures and I cannot wait to incorporate those styles into my own wardrobe.

In today’s look, I decided to wear a simple black T-shirt overlapped with a floral kimono and laced green shorts. And of course, I had to wear my signature platforms to give myself an extra boost.
