STYLE GURU BIO: Hannah Clarke

To all my Fashionistas out there, hello! I am Hannah, a junior studying journalism at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, aspiring to be an iconic fashion journalist. It is an absolute honor to write for CollegeFashionista this semester, and I am thrilled to share all my fads, trends, and styles through my personal writing and photography.

Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Boy is she right. From the fashion queen herself, this is something I live by daily because who are we kidding—we see fashion everywhere!

My love and interest for fashion came about when I was 13 years old. I would sit down religiously after school and read Vogue Australia or Elle magazine from my overflowing, nine-year collection. With my love for fashion and desire for freedom, I got a casual job so that I could fund my wardrobe by myself. Working hard for my clothes makes me appreciate it all the more. I believe having respect for your fashion and style is an absolute necessity. I am a ring hoarder and a shoe lover, and you will grow to understand this in my future articles. Shoes can change and make a look completely; they can boost a woman’s self-confidence just like that, whether it’s adding a little height or a touch of color.

For my look in this post, I wore a gorgeous Zimmerman playsuit, paired with a denim jacket, basic platformed sandals, and an essential accessory for summer, my hexagonal Ray-Ban sunglasses. I am all about my rings, as you can tell from the photos; you’ll never see my hands naked. Fashion is the best way to express who we are. It is limitless, and as a Style Guru, I can be nothing but confident in this beautifully accessorized outfit that is so simple for a warm day. The best part of all, when the jacket comes off this cute summer look, turns into a hot nighttime outfit.

I hope that this inspires your next summer look. I can’t wait to share my #RAD styles with the Style Guru community, so be sure to follow me on all my social media pages!
