I’m Halle Olson, a soon-to-be junior at North Central College in the beautiful Chicago suburb Naperville and a soon-to-be international student at the University of Sunderland in England come fall. I’m a journalism and interactive media studies double major with a French minor. I hope to one day be a fashion journalist for a magazine or online publication.
In terms of my style, I draw most of my inspiration from celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. I actually love the Jenners so much that I’m wearing their “Emily” tall gladiator sandal from their eponymous fashion line. I also have been wearing the Kylie Jenner lip kit in Candy K on repeat.
I also draw a lot of fashion inspiration from current trends. Right now, I’m loving the ’90s trend, and I think that really shows in this outfit. I wore a gray bodysuit for my top. I love that bodysuits are becoming so popular because they’re a great one piece item that can be worn in many different ways, especially in a neutral color like gray. I can wear it in an outfit like this, or throw on some boyfriend jeans and adidas and have a completely different vibe with the exact same piece.This particular bodysuit caught my eye because of the scoop back. It’s such a nice detail and it really helps keep me cool in the summer heat.
Continuing on with the ’90s trend, I threw on this denim skirt over my bodysuit. I think the casualness of the bodysuit and denim skirt combo really helped make the shoes a little less club and a little more class. To top it all off, I added a metallic choker for some edge.
I’m so excited to be back for my second semester with CollegeFashionista and can’t wait to share North Central College’s summer style with all of you!
