STYLE GURU BIO: Francesca Conti

Bonjour fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I am Francesca (called Chessy by my family and close friends) and I am a Textile Merchandising/Design and French double major at the University of Rhode Island. I love to travel and learn about new cultures. Two semesters ago I studied abroad in Paris and it was absolutely the best time of my life! Observing different fashions abroad became a fun part of my daily life and it helped me shape my own style into something more unique.

When it comes to my personal style I like to constantly mix it up. I believe having a new flavor everyday makes life more fun. Classic pieces are what you would mostly find in my closet however. I feel that you can never go wrong with a sleek black outfit. In fact, a few of my favorite pieces include my over-the-knee suede black boots that are featured in the photo above, a pair of dark wash denim jeans and my Tiffany & Co. pearls (sometimes even worn altogether). I like to push the envelope with my outfits. I treat campus like it’s a runway everyday, even if I only have one class that day. When my style is on point, it makes me feel like I am ready to conquer the day, and I think most people can relate to this feeling.

Throughout this semester I hope to explore a wide variety of styles around campus that are different from my own but spark my interest and hopefully the interest of my readers. I am eager to start posting and would love to receive feedback from readers and fellow bloggers. I will be posting every Friday, so be sure to follow me!
