Hello to my fellow Fashionistas! I’m Felicia, and I am currently attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. I am so ecstatic to be a Style Guru this semester as there are so many trendsetters on my campus that I can’t wait to interview them!
Although I go to college in Georgia, I am 15 and a half hours away from my hometown in Texas. Throughout my first two years of high school, I struggled finding who I was and what I wanted to do with my future. I knew that I loved fashion and sewing garments, but I never knew that I could actually pursue a career out of it. After competing in many fashion construction competitions, I soon realized that fashion design was the only thing that I was really passionate about and that an art career was the right choice for me. I decided to attend my dream school, the Savannah College of Art and Design, to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fashion design.
Living in the beautiful city of Savannah, I am constantly surrounded by so much inspiration and so many creative people. I have finally started to find myself and my true aesthetic. I have already began to start my own brand, Felicia Murray Designs, and attending SCAD has helped me in every way possible. Every street and corner of Savannah is a perfect backdrop for a photoshoot!
You will usually find me wearing something cute but casual (although I do love to dress up). I would say that I am girly, but it does not reflect in what I wear. You’ll usually find me wearing lots of earth tones, and I also love the color gold/bronze! A few of my favorite staple pieces are flannels, oversized sweaters and skinny jeans.
I am wearing a black faux leather vest with black skinny jeans and black boots. If you could tell, I like the color black! Because the weather is still manageable here in Texas (I’m on winter break), I am wearing a gray long sleeve crop top underneath my vest. I accessorized this look with a silver layered necklace and some silver rings.
I can’t wait to show you how creative and fashionable SCAD students are! Here’s to a #RAD semester!
