STYLE GURU BIO: Felicia Mings

Hi there! My name is Felicia, and I just started my senior year at the University of Kentucky. I am beyond excited for two things: I am starting my third semester with CollegeFashionista, and I am graduating in less than a year! Time has flown by since beginning my first day here at UK, but it has been a one-of-a-kind experience!

I currently am working on two Bachelor degrees—one in merchandising, apparel and textiles as well as one in marketing. Outside of school, I work as a visual merchandiser (between class and work…I love to nap!). I enjoy helping out with our campus’s fashion show every year and participating in service activities for Phi Upsilon Omicron.

Outside of school and work, I am a bit of a concert addict. For me, finding new, talented musicians/bands is awesome, but seeing them live is even better. If I am in the mood for a night in, my nose is more than likely in a book and my mouth probably sipping on a glass of wine. If I am not at a concert or reading a book, then you can probably find me shopping. One of my favorite things to do is to go to local boutiques in search of some unique clothing (P.S. Bardstown Road in Louisville, KY is PERFECT). I often mix up my style, going from a rock star look to a boho feel. I am a huge fan of denim on denim and the return of the choker! Give me a pair of thigh-high boots, or any heel for that matter, and I promise they will be put to good use.

That’s a little bit about me but I am excited to share the fashion of my campus with you this fall semester so stay tuned!
