STYLE GURU BIO: Eugenia Camargo

January 5th, 2016 at 2:00am

Hello from the other side.

My name is Eugenia Camargo I am an undergraduate student at Babson College. I am originally from Bogota, Colombia. I am thrilled to be part of CollegeFashionista and to be able to communicate what Babson’s fashion is all about.

I was brought up in a very liberal and artistic family that always encouraged me to experiment with anything anywhere; especially my mother, who introduced me to her seamstress at a very young age and allowed me to alter my clothes.

I don’t put myself in any particular style category. I think I change my style depending on my mood and what I see around me. I gain much of my inspiration from other cultures, which is why I try to go to museums as much as possible and to travel often.

I am currently fond off fashion from The Row, Axel Arigato, Custo Barcelona and Mugler Official among others. My artistic inclinations vary from Yayoi Kusama to Giussepe Boldini. Movie-wise I love Wess Anderson and Tim Burton. I have had several role models from the fashion world, amongst them Iris Apfel, Diane Von Furstenberg, Yves Saint Laurent, Bill Cunningham and Grace Coddington.

Today, I am wearing a basic HEATTECH UNIQLO turtleneck top, Zara leggings and a coat that my sister found in Argentina from a brand called Awada. My accessories are Men’s Ferragamo sunnies, a Balmain x H&M velvet scarf, some custom Stan Smith adidas, and some MAC lipstick. Make sure to click #RAD if you like this.
