Hello internet users and fashion lovers! I am Ericka and I reside in Tallahassee, Florida where I attend Florida State University and major in Retail Merchandising and Product Development. My style is eclectic, deriving inspiration from everywhere and everything. As Florida approaches into what we call our “cool” months, you’ll find me outside enjoying the crisp weather while bundled up in a sweater and wearing my favorite sunnies. Not only in winter but also throughout the year, I opt for comfort without giving up style. As reflected in my bed head curls, I take on effortless and casual outfits, especially for a day with a busy school schedule.
As a native islander, cold weather and gloomy days aren’t always my friend. A leather jacket over my shoulders is a way to keep the outfit warm and neutral. To keep it simple, I paired the jacket with a khaki utilitarian skinny jean and my favorite suede booties.
Suede is by far the trend that attracts me the most this season. I want to own every article of clothing in this fabric! For those of you who have yet to buy something suede, I suggest purchasing some ankle booties for a sophisticated look. However, sophisticated and neutral can always be fun when styled with a graphic top. My favorite way of making any look interesting is through graphics in t-shirts. Whether it is a quote that reflects your personality or a fun & humorous print, t-shirts are the perfect item to top off a casual look!
I am looking forward to finding Fashionistas walking past the brick walls of Florida State! I bet I’ll find a mix of shorts and scarves this upcoming semester.
