STYLE GURU BIO: Christine Enriquez

Hello again Fashionistas/os! I’m Christine Enriquez, an advertising and public relations student at Loyola University Chicago. I’m a senior this year, and the spring semester marks my third and final term as a Style Guru. Fashion and photography are two of my greatest passions, and CollegeFashionista has allowed me to combine both into one amazing platform.

Last semester, I got the chance to intern at CollegeFashionista’s Chicago office, and this semester, I will get the chance to be a social media Style Guru! Interning for such a rad company, and meeting such passionate, hardworking people have been wonderful learning experiences. I know that everything I’ve learned will help me as I venture out into the “real world” in the next couple of months.

This season, I’m still obsessed with muted color palettes, urban street wear and white sneakers, but as the temperatures dropped, I’ve been able to experiment more with layers and outerwear. Today’s outfit has been my cold weather uniform of sorts for the past few weeks. I’m wearing my trusty UNIQLO turtleneck, Levi’s boyfriend jeans, my go-to black booties and my favorite oversized parka. I’ve amassed quite a collection of turtleneck sweaters (all in dark monochromatic tones of course), and throwing one on over jeans or trousers just makes it look like I put a lot of effort into my outfit (even though I really didn’t, haha).

When I’m not in class, at work or out scouting for Fashionistas, I can usually be found trying on lipstick shades at Sephora, chugging down a latte, exploring every inch of the Art Institute or obsessively writing down lists on my planner.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Style Guru, and this season, I’m excited to continue reporting on the trends and looks I spot around my beautiful Chicago campus.
