STYLE GURU BIO: Christina Greiner

August 30th, 2016 at 2:10am

Hello loves! My name is Christina Greiner, and if you aren’t catching me sipping on a latte, online shopping or talking about my endless love of Australia (previously having just moved back from studying abroad), you can find myself transitioning back into my favorite town of Iowa City. I am currently starting my fall semester of my senior year of college at the University of Iowa, which is a very bittersweet thing to say. However, with that comes a confidence and self-identity I exude through my wardrobe.

A little insight into my personal style basically incorporates anything that I feel 100 percent comfortable in and pretty much anything that’s black or white. One of my favorite mottos includes: “If it’s not black, put it back on the rack.” I personally love mixing both masculine and feminine pieces, and I love adding different textures, fabrics and fun prints to spice up a relatively neutral look. For example I might wear boyfriend jeans and pair them a silk camisole with some booties and a choker, or I might rock some black jeans with a band T-shirt and some sneakers!

Fashion is my personal creative outlet and always has been for as long as I can remember. I love finding inspiration no matter where I am whether it’s from my fellow college students to the little beach town where I lived half way across the world. My style is ever changing and evolving the older I get, and I love feeding off of everyone’s style around me. I love incorporating the latest trends into my wardrobe while also being relaxed. My favorite thing about fashion is that it never has to be the same. You can switch it up every day, which I tend to do a lot!

I am extremely excited to embark on my first semester of being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I hope to inspire my readers just as much as they inspire me.This is the perfect position to be able to combine my love of writing and fashion. I can’t wait to report all the latest trends and stylish people I see around my campus. I’m looking forward to a rad semester and can’t wait to see what it will hold!
