Hello fashion babies! My name is Chelsea Percopo and I am a sophomore at Florida State University double majoring in Retail Merchandising and Marketing. I am beyond excited to begin this Style Guru journey with CollegeFashionista this summer. Fashion has always been a main interest of mine and I hope to begin a career in the fashion industry some day soon.
My love for style began at a young age, as a kid I would beg my mom to sign me up for sewing classes and buy me fashion magazines, while other kids were watching cartoons and reading Curious George. I spend most of my days binge scrolling through Pinterest, even when I should be studying and sifting through my closet planning my outfits for the week.
If I had to describe my style in three words they would be: classic, edgy and sporadic. Most of my outfits are mixed with different designers and I like to be spontaneous with my style. One day I’ll feel like being boho and the next I’ll want to dress up like I’m going to the Grammy’s. I’m always a fan of mixing prints and styles to create a different look. If I have the choice, I always choose to dress up. Dressing up makes me feel special and I’m always ready for something exciting to happen. My advice to all my fellow Fashionistas out there is to stock up on all the essentials: skinny jeans, flowy V-necks, cardigans, Converse, etc.; keep a closet full of essentials with a few statement luxury pieces and everyday you’ll feel like you have a new outfit. For instance, two pieces have been all the rage this season and black just never goes out of style, my wrap bracelet is one of my favorite accessories to bring to any outfit. And, of course, I never leave the house without my favorite sunnies!
Your style is something you can always control, never hold back!
Now, let’s have a #RAD summer.
