STYLE GURU BIO: Caitlin Yeck

Hello fellow fashion lovers and CollegeFashionista fanatics! I am so pumped to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team this summer! This will be my second semester, and I can not wait to share some awesome styles and advice with you guys.

I have been a lover of fashion since such a young age. It has really become an outlet for me to show off my creativity and my style. Fashion allows people to be themselves and creates such a perfect base to build confidence and self love. Who doesn’t love that? The creative thinking process that goes into fashion is unquestionably my niche and my passion. I love sites like CollegeFashionista because you can learn so much from other fashion lovers and apply it to your own style. So with that, I decided to turn my love for fashion into a career! I am studying fashion merchandising at The Ohio State University and headed into my second year doing what I absolutely love.

Style is such an individual and independent thing—that’s why I love it so much. Something I am obsessed with could be someone’s least favorite item. These differences in opinions and style is what makes the world go ’round! My style is very eclectic. I love patterns and color and beading. I also love simplistic pieces, so it just depends on the day. My style icons are Blake Lively, Lauren Conrad and Mindy Kaling. These women have not only inspired my style but also how I live my life, so I ADORE them.

Last semester I ended my bio with a quote from Irish Apfel, and I am going to use the same one because it is so amazing. “Style is attitude,” and as I always say, let’s fill our world with positive attitudes through the voice of fashion.
