STYLE GURU BIO: Caitlin Rodermund

Hello fellow readers. My name is Caitlin Rodermund, and I’m currently a junior at University of North Carolina Wilmington studying Communication. I believe I’ve always had a love for fashion, ever since my kindergarten days of dress up. Fashion has followed me throughout my life and has been a constant passion of mine. After taking a few fashion apparel courses and designing some of my own clothing, I knew I could make a career out of what I love: fashion.

Recently, I I’ve been working for a boutique, Bevello, as a sales associate/stylist. I’ve always had a niche for styling. In high school I was the “go-to girl” for picking out the perfect outfit for any occasion. Fashion evokes uniqueness between individuals. A way for an individual to express themselves however they’d like with endless opportunities. I consider my style to be a mix of city, boho and chic, depending on the occasion, of course. However, I see myself becoming more adventurous with my style the more I learn and flourish my knowledge of designers, fabrics and trends.

This semester I have the privilege of being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I’ve always seen myself as having an eye for fashion, and now I get to share my campus fashion with you all. University of North Carolina Wilmington has an extremely eclectic taste in style, ranging from boho to city chic. I constantly notice the different ranges of fashion inspiring me to share those unique styles with my readers. Fashion is what we see; it’s who we are. It is forever changing and that’s what excites me.  I couldn’t be happier to get this opportunity, and I look forward to writing my articles every Wednesday.
