What’s up my fellow Fashionistas/Fashionistos! I’m Brittany and I attend the University of Illinois, pursuing a double major in Political Science and Communications. With freshman year finally under my belt, I’m excited to spend the summer writing about fashion and personal style, which has always been an important aspect of my life. Whether it was playing dress up as a little girl or digging through my closet for the perfect weekend outfit in Champaign, there’s no denying that fashion and style is all around me.
With two majors and a pre-law trek, school is always hectic and driven by routine. Although I write academically, it is difficult to find the time to write for enjoyment, which is something I used to do fairly often. Being a Style Guru gives me the opportunity to invest myself in topics that I could not completely devote myself to in class and my excitement for this is undeniable!

This summer, I will be travelling to Pennsylvania to work as a camp counselor. I’m going to put great emphasis on staying comfy while still being fashion-forward, which is a necessity to do in the hot summer months.
