STYLE GURU BIO: Brenna Yeager

Hola, fellow Fashionista/os!

My name is Brenna Yeager, but you can call me Brdy. Hopefully, you have stumbled upon my page while cozying up under a blanket with something sweet to drink, because we are in for a wild ride. If any of you weren’t aware, I adore everything fashion. It is a fluid source of creativity and expression, and is something that should not be taken for granted. With that being said, fashion is also something that doesn’t necessarily have a guideline. Some would argue that fashion entails rules, but rules are meant to be broken.

My unique perspective on fashion has led me to many walks of life. I have recently packed up my bags and moved from Portland, Oregon to the great city of Los Angeles. You might ask what brought me to the other side of the coast, and the answer is right in front of your eyes. Fashion, or the epitome of what my heart belongs to. I have transferred from Oregon State University to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, with a focus on product development. I may just be another millennial trying to make a name for myself, but I am doing it with a smile on my face and a camera in hand.

In this look, I styled myself with many classics and a twist of trend. I paired some of my favorite Levi pieces with opposing colors. I am all for a denim getup, but when the washes are too similar I feel a little thrown off. A red lip has been a staple item for centuries, but I upgraded mine to a rich magenta shade. A mesh body suit with floral applique was the perfect trend piece to this more simple outfit. I finished off this look with a blush colored leather belt, and a quirky patch on the back of my denim (for inspirational purposes only).

This is my fourth semester as a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista, and I could not be more thrilled with what is to come. This next semester will be filled with many new personal experiences, and I am more than ready to share them with you all. Stay tuned!
