STYLE GURU BIO: Bianca Rodriguez

January 4th, 2016 at 2:00am

Hey y’all, my name is Bianca, but my friends call me B, Yancs, Yanca, Yoncé (because of my obsession with Beyoncé) or just about anything under the sun. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I am a sophomore Fashion Merchandising student with a concentration in Business and minor in Product Development at Marist College. I am also a Division 1 college cheerleader. So, in my free time you can catch me on the sidelines at my school’s football, basketball and lacrosse games. I look forward to one day working for a contemporary brand in New York City.

I am absolutely fascinated with popular culture. Specifically, with how our society has become absorbed in the lives of today’s celebrities and how the everyday decisions made by these few people heavily influence our own lives. So, most of my style is inspired by iconic females of the present and past such as the Jenner sisters and Farrah Fawcett, respectively.

That being said, I would describe myself as a complete style chameleon. One day I may look like I just stepped out of a Ralph Lauren catalog, while the next you might see me wearing something from my dad’s closet. Unlike most, I do not have a “signature look,” and that’s okay. I don’t think it’s fair to feel the need to limit myself and stick to one style aesthetic to be taken seriously in the industry, as a fashion student, blogger, etc. There are a million different garments to wear and looks to rock and my goal is to dawn as many as possible.

Check back every month for a new post. I cannot wait to share my style with y’all!
