Hello Fashionistas! My name is Bethany Vargo and this is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista representing Kent State University. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Public Relations. During my free time, I enjoy social media, reading magazines and eating macaroons. This summer, I am looking forward to expressing my love for fashion through my articles and being able to interact and get out of my comfort zone.
I am a sales associate at Nordstrom for the Trend Accessories department. I will be taking my fashion abroad this upcoming fall to Florence, Italy and then heading straight to the big apple for spring semester to partake in an internship before I graduate. Throughout my undergraduate studies so far, I have been involved with the Fashion Student Organization at The Fashion School and had the opportunity to become the Teen Vogue Representative at Kent State during the 2014-2015 academic year.
My favorite part about fashion is how the style continues to change every season. Also, I love how a person’s style can express their personality. My style always depends on the day. One day, my style will be edgy then the next day it will change to boho. My outfit of the day usually consists of adding accessories and layers. Living in Ohio, there are no guarantees of what the weather is going to be like throughout the day so layering is key. Lastly, tulle party skirts are my favorite trend for this season. I am very girly and I believe that this trend is fun, energetic and preppy.
