Hello there Fashionistas/os!
Let me start off first by introducing myself. My name is Ashley Porto and I currently attend The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City as a junior for advertising/marketing communications. I am thrilled to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team as a Style Guru! I have previously interned at James Jeans and Jimmy Choo, which has molded me to become more knowledgeable in the fashion industry. Currently, I intern at Levi’s Jeans for Global Public Relations, which is where I assist with editorial requests, track press coverage, event production, etc. Stay tuned for more articles that will give insider tips on the latest fashion trends!
In my spare time, I exercise every opportunity I can get and eat a balanced diet of protein, fruits and vegetables, in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I would describe my style as “athleisure wear,” which aligns with my platform of sticking to a fit lifestyle. I can easily take my workout leggings and cute sneakers on-the-go with me wherever and whenever. My favorite store to shop at is Bandier because I believe all of their clothes are personalized to fit the “edgy consumer.” For my outfit pictured, I am wearing a tight patterned sweatshirt with matching leggings, and slip-on sneakers. Who doesn’t love being comfortable, but trendy at the same time?
