Hello lovely Fahionistas and Fashionistos! I am Ana Gabriela Teran. This is my second semester interning for CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru, and I cannot be more excited for it. My first semester interning for CollegeFashionista was the summer after my freshman year of college. Now coming in for the spring semester during my second year, I have noticed the fashion taste metamorphosis inspired by just this brief time participating. This internship has not only propelled changes in my style, but also with my life decision-making choices.
My first year of college I was majoring in a field opposite of the spectrum of all things having to do with fashion, journalism or any type of creative art for that matter. Knowing that my passions dealt with all of those things, I was unaware of all the opportunities that would allow me to exploit the creative drive within me.
One day on campus, a fellow Style Guru captured a picture of me and wrote an article about my outfit. I felt incredibly flattered to be featured, and decided to take it upon myself to jump on the opportunity to take part in being able to make another fashionable college student experience that same boost of self-confidence I felt.
That is when I applied to intern for CollegeFashionista.
Along the way, this internship has allowed me to inspire many who share the same interests in fashion to unapologetically express themselves through the art of style. I have learned to obtain confidence in my voice, and step out of my comfort zone in order to approach the fashionable ladies and men at my campus (even becoming friends with some). Most of all, I have learned about what it is I have a passion for. I will be coming in this spring semester newly majoring in Telecommunications at the University of Florida, with the opportunity to express myself entirely through the creative aspects the major promotes. As a Style Guru, I will gain experience in its aspects pertaining to journalism, all while being inspired to slip on my leather ankle booties, culottes and mod tops like this one.
Follow me along on my ongoing style metamorphosis, and see all the fabulous fashionable students I am able to capture from my campus.
