Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Amanda Cohen. I am a junior majoring in art education and minoring in psychology at Ithaca College. This is my first semester as a Style Guru, and I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to share the remarkable styles of the people at my school with all of you.
I have always had a passion for fashion ever since I was a little girl. My love for clothing began with my love for playing dress-up as a child, then continued through my life when I began to really dress myself and it has definitely remained a large part of my life now.
Growing up, I constantly had my nose in any fashion magazine that I could get my hands on. My eyes were always looking around at the styles and fashions that surrounded me every day. Although I am not studying fashion at school now, when I was younger my dream was always to go to FIT and become a fashion designer. Although that dream may not have lived on, my obsession with fashion has progressed immensely.
It is difficult to describe my style because it is ever-changing, but is also always completely original. I love the idea of standing out and have always taken pride in the fact that I never felt the need to conform to popular opinion and styles, and always wore what I wanted to wear. My style ranges anywhere from edgy to classy, and covers basically everything in between.
For this look, I took a simple black dress and dressed it up with a beige cardigan. This cardigan is perfect to dress up any outfit since it combines a little bit of suede, knit and fur all-in-one to create a bold look. To pull the look all together, I went with my black suede booties and white lace socks.
