Hi friends, Fashionistas and fashion artists! I’m Allison Lindsey, and I live in the great lone star state, but more specifically the live music capital of the world: Austin, Texas. Not only should Austin be noted for it’s musical progression and opportunities but for art as a whole. Andy Warhol satisfied artists everywhere by saying, “Art is what you can get away with.” Fashion is something that is pushed to new limits worldwide, everyday. In fact, fashion has no limits, and what you can get away with is equally unlimited.
I am a currently enrolled as a student at Austin Community College, studying the art of of writing: Journalism. Although I am often criticized for the lack of lucrative value my major holds, I continue to persevere in the field. Paralleling my infatuation for writing is fashion. Regardless of how bad things may seem in this world, fashion continues to grow and evolve. People of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities give into their most latent, unconscious artistic characteristics by dressing themselves each day. No matter how bad things are in society, fashion stays true to its beauty.
I am so outwardly and obsessively thankful to live in such a diverse environment that consistently feeds my need for progression and integration. I am so thrilled to have this opportunity to work with other students that share the same passion as I do. Let’s grow and advance into the world of fashion together!
