STYLE GURU BIO: Allie Sarachene

Ah, it’s good to be back, my fellow Style Gurus. My name is Allie Sarachene and this is my second semester with CollegeFashionista! I’m super excited to share with all of you my favorite summer looks, and discover new trends as well. Interning for CollegeFashionista has given me so many opportunities, and has strengthened my love for fashion and writing.

Last semester, I declared my minor in fashion media to add onto my journalism major. I’ve always loved to write, because of that feeling of creative energy flowing from my head to my pen, and seeing my thoughts sprawled out on paper. I strongly believe in doing anything that makes you happy, so why not pursue my education in an area I’m passionate about? Attending Kent State University and living on my own has expanded my mind more than I could have imagined. I’ve learned so much about myself. For example, I know how to put my camera to good use, that instant oatmeal is okay to eat for all meals and Netflix is a perfect way to end a day full of classes.

So when I’m not studying or heating up oatmeal, I love to thrift shop with friends, drink coffee and snuggle up with a great book. We can add online shipping to that list too, because a girl has got to stay up with all the newest trends, right?

Summer is one of my favorite seasons, especially growing up in Ohio and not knowing what kind of weather to be expecting. But in the summer, Ohio seems to have it together… for the most part. My summertime activities consists of hiking, coffee dates and road trips, which gives a perfect photo op every time. With that being said, there are so many different vibes I go for when choosing a look.

My style is always changing, which is something that is unique about fashion. It gives you a way to express yourself and be whoever you want to be. From sweaters and scarfs to skirts and tank tops, Ohio sees it all.

But now to the important part, my outfit! My go-to look for the summer is something light and movable, which makes an off-the-shoulder crop top one of my favorite choices. I paired it with a suede skirt (my newest obsession). Then, black sandals and a simple black cross-body bag is the perfect way to finish off this look. The crop top and skirt combo screams summer fun.

Make sure to stay up-to-date with my posts this month, and let’s have a RAD summer here at CollegeFashionista!
