STYLE GURU BIO: Alec Albright

August 31st, 2015 at 2:00am

Hey, what’s up? My name is Alec Albright and I am a sophomore studying Marketing, with a Fashion and Retail Studies minor at The Ohio State University! All my life I’ve been the type of guy to chase after my dreams and passions, and that brings us to where we are today. I honestly feel so honored to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team this semester; it’s truly incredible to be surrounded by so many creative minds, with groundbreaking ideas and opinions.

So, let me give you a little bit more background on my style. Almost every day you will probably catch me wearing Lacoste. I am a sales supervisor for the brand, and for those of you who don’t know what Lacoste is, it’s a French brand that was established in 1933, and is known for being the founder of the polo. I know half of you are already thinking “I’m pretty sure my dad wears polos.” This is probably a correct statement, but like most things, Lacoste is so much more than meets the eye. Outside of Lacoste, I’m a huge fan of the classic staple items with a unique twist.

So, that brings me to my first post for today in fashion, and it is about simple twists. Here in Ohio, the weather is completely unpredictable, so button-ups are great for layering when the air gets chilly, rolling up the sleeves in the summer sun or even wearing as is during the fall and spring. Next, I am a big proponent of white jeans (even after Labor Day). White denim (ladies, here is an option for you) truly makes your entire outfit pop, allowing everyone to notice every little detail of your outfit. I’m also a big proponent of matching your watch to your shoe. Black shoes and black watches are always a deadly combination when it comes to slaying the day.

Before I go, feel free to reach out to me on social media! I love hearing everyone’s perspectives and talking about the latest highs and lows in the fashion world.
