Hi everyone!
My name is Ajea Nicole, pronounced like the continent Asia but spelled differently (shout out to my mom and dad). I am a senior at Lasell College with a major in Communication and concentration in Journalism. Fashion Communication and Promotion is my minor and photography, blogging, discovering new food and meeting new people are some of the things that I enjoy.
The great thing that I love about CollegeFashionista is being able to connect with other style lovers like yourselves! For me, I gravitate towards street style but other times my style can be more simplistic and refined. Since my name means unique, I never attempt to put limits on the things I buy or want to wear. I love trying new items and also adding a sense of being carefree and playful to my style. I would say that my top three style icons are: Pharrell, Solange (Beyoncé’s sister) and Iris Apfel.
Currently I am into midi skirts, because not only are they super comfortable, but they look great with a pair of heels, sandals or even sneakers. Usually I opt for a bold lipstick but as the weather gets warmer in Boston, a nice lip balm keeps my lips moisturized, nourished and feeling great. In addition, I would say that I love a stunning pair of earrings or statement necklace; it adds that Wow! factor without being too overwhelming.
All in all, I am excited to partake in this experience with CollegeFashionista. I know that I will learn more about my style while also meeting other stylish individuals along the way. If I could give advice to anyone, I would say: Don’t be afraid to step out and stand out. Style is one of the greatest forms of self-expression so what do you want your style to say about you?
