Hello to all my full-time Fashionistas/os that are staying in touch with their inner-chic over the summer. For those who don’t know me yet, my name is Aaliyah Allgood and I am a junior fashion merchandising student at Kent State University with a focus on Fashion in the Media. I have a strong appreciation for fashion, beauty and writing; I believe it is the best form of self-expression. I first discovered my love for fashion and journalism when I received my first Teen Vogue subscription for my 9th birthday. I was so intrigued by the colors, abstract styles and models – I loved it all. Since then it has grown to be a passion of mine. I get inspiration from Vogue, Cosmopolitan and NYLON magazine, which are only three of my top favorites.
I love pop culture, so you will typically catch me wearing something edgy and cool. Black is my go-to color for everything! I like to keep a classic look, but will make it my own through bold accessories and handbags. However, during the warmer seasons I tend to spice things up with bright colors, floral prints and a cute tote bag.
Balmain is my all-time favorite fashion house, which is home to the most exclusive clothing and fragrance collections founded by Pierre Balmain in 1946. My dream is to become a professional blogger and editor in the industry. Eventually I hope to expand my skills in makeup and aesthetics. I would love to work for a styling team and inspire others to look and feel good in their skin.
